oertli.jpgWe are privileged to have Danny Oertli lead us in worship in Estes Park this year from July 18 - 22nd, 2018.  Listen to his creative guitar playing and you'll see we are in for a real treat!

Over the last two decades, Danny has played in more than 1000 different venues around the world including stadiums, arenas, churches and a few barns!!  (now of course, he can list the prestigious COS annual meeting to his list!).  Danny grew up as a pastor's kid where his dad planted a church in the eastern suburbs of Denver.  From an early age, he was involved in sports and music.  In college at Colorado State University, he led worship for Campus Crusade for Christ.  Danny's career as a musician was set in motion when he was asked to be the set opener for an artist coming through the region.  He wrote his first songs and was a hit!  Danny quickly became known as a musician and a storyteller.

As he became much busier early in his career around the country, tradegy struck as his wife, Cyndi died of a heart attack at the age of 30 after a long battle with cancer.  Danny was left a single father of two small children, ages 1 and 4.  Through his difficult journey, he shared his story in a book called "Mommy Paints the Sky."  This book was about God's faithfulness and encouraged others dealing with loss.  Two years later, while performing in Washington DC, he met Rayna who worked for Compassion International helping children find sponsors.  They fell in love and were married in 2004.

His career has taken him to 48 states and 11 countries and he performs wherever God opens the door to him.  Danny loves people and music and uses his music to glorify God.  You won't want to miss him!!
