Juan Batlle, MD

Retina, Pediatrics, Neuro-ophthalmology
Interests: Prevention of Blindness
Dr. Batlle is the director of the Elias Santana residency in Santo Domingo, DR and founded Centro Laser where he is involved in cataract, refractive and retinal surgery and clinical research studies.

Anthony Vipin Das, MD

Interests: Innovation in ophthalmology
Dr. Das is a TED Senior Fellow and is the principal architect of eyeSmart EMR, an award winning EMR used at LV Prasad. He is part of the Center for Innovation at LV Prasad Eye Institute.

Ben Roberts, MD

Retinal specialist
Interests: Discipleship, Sharing Christ

Dr. Roberts is a retinal specialist who has serveed with at Tenwek hospital since 2006. He travels with the Tenwek eye team to remote parts of East Africa to care for patients and to share God's light.

Diego Mejia, MD

General Ophthalmology
Interests: Teaching MSICS
Dr. Mejia founded the Doug Perry Memorial Clinic in San Pedro Sula, Honduras where he uses the Aravind model for taking care of his patients. He has trained over 75 ophthlamologists in the MSICS technique.

Jacob Prabhakar, MD

General Ophthalmologist
Interests: High volume efficient cataract surgery
Dr. Prabhakar is the medical director of the Ruby Nelson Memorial Hospital in Jalandhar, India. He is passionate about caring for the blind poor and skilled in performing 30 - 35 cataracts/hr.

Cristos Ifantides

Assistant Professor, Denver
Interests: Global ophthalmology
Dr. Ifantides recently completed a global ophthalmology fellowship at the Will's Eye Hospital and has just begun working at the University of Colorado to start a global ophthalmology program.
